1. Disconnect the negative cable from the car battery to maintain any accidental shorts from damaging the electrical system. Write down the safety code of the original stereo and store it in a secure place.
2. Pry out the plastic trim ring from around the head unit and climate controls with a flathead screwdriver. Place a chunk of skinny fabric under the screwdriver tip to assist reduce scratching the plastic pieces.
3. Take away the 4 screws holding the stereo in place and pull the radio out. The pocket attaches to the underside of the top unit assembly and can slide out as well.
4. Unscrew the top and bottom screw from the entrance of the body, and pull the top unit by the front. Insert the new head unit into the frame and secure the new stereo faceplate.
5. Pull out the previous wiring harness and snap in the new adaptor. Connect the adaptor to the again of the stereo and slide the radio and body into the dash.
